Two follow ups to my post on Canterbury

As a follow up to my post about my pilgrimage to Canterbury last week to visit the places associated with Saint Thomas Becket, Father Timothy Finnigan has an excellent post about King Henry VIII's hatred of Saint Thomas, and of his destruction of Becket's shrine and his order that Becket's image and memory be stricken from England.

Another reader, Pete, has also shared the welcome news that a relic of St. Thomas of Canterbury will soon be brought to London, to St. Magnus church in the afternoon of 25 May. Details are vague at the moment, but will be forthcoming.
