Letter to Unitarian minister

Here follows the letter that I have sent by e-mail to the minister at the Unitarian church in Quincy:

It was with great sorrow that I read in today’s issue of the Quincy Herald-Whig
that your church will host on Sunday morning two women who claim to be Roman
Catholic priests, Elsie Hainz McGrath and Ree Hudson.

As you certainly know, these women are not Catholic priests and can never be ordained as such, despite what they claim. As you also certainly know, these women
were declared excommunicated as a consequence of their rejection of central
teachings of the Catholic Church by Archbishop Raymond L. Burke this past March
and have not yet reconciled with the Church.

Your hosting of these two women to speak on “vocations awareness” is a great offense to Catholics and to a true spirit of respect between religions. Their insistence in promoting themselves as Catholics and as priests is a great lie, and your giving
of a pulpit to them from which to speak cooperates in this lie. I therefore urge you to disinvite these women as a sign of respect toward Catholics everywhere.

I will post this same letter later this afternoon.
