Chaldean Archbishop still held captive

You've probably seen on the blogosphere by now the news - since the secular "news" doesn't seem to have reported this (except for Reuters) - that the Most Reverend Paulos Faraj Rahho, the Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul (Iraq) who accompanied Emmanuel III Cardinal Dely to the recent consistory, was kidnapped on February 29th and three men accompanying him were killed.

The Archbishop's unidentified captors have demanded a ransom for his release but have not released any information concerning the ill Archbishop's health.

Nuri al Maliki, the Prime Minister of Iraq, has promised to find the Archbishop saying, "An assault on Christians is an assault on all Iraqis."

The American Papist and Amy have more information. Let's offer our prayers and sufferings today for the safety and release of the Archbishop.
